About Daman
Daman has been passionate about creating a welcoming environment of recreational and social rehabilitation. Her experience in accessible sports started in 2017 where she initially volunteered with the Pickering Soccer Club's All Abilities Soccer League. In 2019 she was appointed to a coaching position with the All Abilities program at Holland Bloorview, which is currently halted due to COVID restrictions.
Daman is currently a researcher with the Autism Research Centre at Holland Bloorview. Following years of experience working with children of all abilities, Daman's passions have further grown to be a part of the scientific community to help provide innovation and changes to the field of autism research. Furthermore, she aspires to be a source of knowledge to reduce the stigma surrounding children with disabilities. She has been actively advocating to create enriching environments to facilitate social interaction and integration, where no child should be left behind due to their abilities.
