About Katie
Katie Juelson is a certified yoga teacher, and financial administrator. She specializes in teaching accessible yoga, and yoga for athletes. In her yoga teaching she aims to keep yoga programming accessible for all levels, and abilities.
Katie’s experience in accessible programming comes from her experience teaching yoga. Once she started teaching independently, she noticed a huge gap in inclusive and accessible yoga program offerings for both youth, and adults. From this, Katie started offering accessible yoga programs, with an aim to mentor, and assist other yoga teachers, and organizations to bring in accessible yoga class option to her community.
Katie has worked in various positions within sport and recreation, such as, Burlington Youth Soccer Club, Ontario Provincial Development teams, Oakville Futsal Club, and Canadian Yoga Alliance.
Katie graduated her yoga teachers training with high honours. She was involved in bringing Canada's first ever accessible yoga conference to Toronto in 2018. She has been featured on the connected yoga teacher podcast Accessible Yoga Begins with Language and worked with Canada's Para Soccer Team. Most recently, she has worked with Community Living Halton to bring yoga to adults with developmental disabilities in her community.
In her free time, Katie enjoys spending time doing anything outdoors with her family, such as hiking, paddle boarding, and anything sports-related!
